At last the new Strands site is up and running! The reasons for the delays are many, but mainly I had other commitments and plenty of Drupal 6 frustration at slow module update releases. But I don't mean to gripe - early teething problems are slowly but surely giving way to a much-improved CMS overall.

Yes, well, coming soon wasn't quite accurate. It should have read "the intention is to have a new website coming soon", but the best laid plans of mice and men ...

Three months later and it's still definitely coming soon ...

Strands Computing last week published the new Vereinigung Burgerliches Bern (VBB) website. Completely rewritten from the ground up using Drupal, the new site allows the members of VBB to manage their own content. Features include a new clean, modern design (by VBB), centralised user management, and a few jQuery snippets.

Strands Computing will be launching version 2.0 of this website within the next few weeks. There haven't been any updates in a while due to current workloads, but this will be changing.

The idea is to use this site as a platform to demonstrate what we know and what we're learning in the area of standards-compliant web development. As such expect regular changes in the future ...
